Mahasawat canal is located about 50 kms from Bangkok in Nakhon Pathom province where is known for agricultural and horticultural farm. It is an area which highlights agro tourism including orchid farms, lotus fields and organic orchards. From the pier beside the Suwannaram Temple, six-seated boats will take you to explore places along the canal. These boats come complete with sunshades and are fully equipped with life jackets. As you cruise along the canal you’ll get a unique perspective of a different lifestyle including the huge fishing nets suspended above the water. Tour Itinerary: 8.30 a.m. Pick up from hotel in Bangkok. Then drive to Klong Mahasawad. 09.30 a.m. Board a local boat along Klong Mahasawat, quiet unpolluted canal. Stop for huge lotus fields and take a punt on a five-acre pond which harvests 3000 flowers/ day.
This pond is surrounded by organic lemongrass plantation and mango trees. Second stop at a home factory where local delicacies are produced such as rice crackers with different toppings, preserved fruits. Learn how to produce and enjoy crackling taste of this excellent snack. Next stop at orchid farm where thousands of orchids are grown for the export market. Continue to organic fruit orchards. Time for tasting, Pomelo, Jack fruit, tamarind, miracle fruit, etc Now hop on a Thai style tractor for a fun ride to organic rice fields and orchards. 12.30 Depart Mahasawat canal and drive to Bangkok. 13.30 Return to hotel.
